CUFF 2025 FESTIVAL BRANDING

22nd Annual Calgary Underground Film Festival

I was approached by the festival director, Brenda Lieberman, to create the visual brand for the 2025 festival, including a large scale 27”x41” show poster that could be deconstructed to use for advertising through social and traditional media outlets. The project garnered some solid traction organically! A film blog named “ScreenAnarchy” independently gave me a shout-out for the illustration work I made for the poster! It’s like geting an award without applying to be part of a contest, hah!

FESTIVAL INTRO BUMPER

As well as the poster, I was asked to create an animated intro bumper to the start of all of the films that play in the festival. I continued with the theme of old-school pick-your-own- adventure style fantasy and took the poster antagonists on a journey through the nine realms on their way to get to their destination… A worthy goal for such gallant fantasy bros!

I made the animatic and recorded the audio for the bumper in studio. I’m quite happy with how the details came out in this!
